The redesigned for the latest generation, the Pivot Firebird is engineered for aggressive enduro riding and race-level performance. Updated geometry improves stability and control at speed, while refined frame cross-sections maximize stiffness and durability without unnecessary weight. Built to thrive on steep, technical descents while maintaining efficient climbing characteristics, the Firebird delivers confidence and precision on the most demanding trails.
These bikes are designed with World Cup podium performance as the starting point. To build on an already successful platform, the design process began on the rugged trails of South Mountain in Phoenix, working alongside factory racers and engineering to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and inform key design decisions.

The prototyping process used to validate the design occurred in multiple stages. An adjustable, machined lugged frame—connected by carbon tubing—was developed to allow precise tuning of the bike’s geometry. During this phase, I worked closely with engineering to design the lugged sections and CNC-machined components produced in-house.
To remain competitive both on the downhill course and in the market, post-prototype evaluation revealed several key opportunities for both elite racers and weekend riders. A major focus was maximizing adjustability to allow riders to fine-tune their setup on a production bike. This led to the development of swinging UDH dropouts—the first of their kind to accommodate SRAM’s UDH while adjusting only chainstay length—as well as integrated in-tube storage, giving riders flexibility based on ride length and terrain.
The final result is a race-ready, all-around enduro bike that has resonated strongly with riders—earning finalist recognition for Mountain Bike of the Year from both Mountain Bike Action and Pinkbike, while also securing a podium finish at the Enduro World Series in France.
